How safe is the Lung T-500?
Although Lung T-500 is designed for shallow water exploration there are inherent risks with ALL water activities. However, abiding by the Safety
Guidelines can help to minimize those risks and ensure a safer experience.
For user safety it is strictly forbidden to use any Lung product beyond a depth of 3m.
The Lung T-500 complies with PPE (EU)2016/425 tested to standard EN 250:2014 Respiratory equipment. This is the European standard for diving equipment to meet the demands placed on it at depth and under high breathing loads. This involved testing the device at a breathing rate of 62.5 l min-1, submerged in water at a pressure of 6 BAR absolute (equivalent to a depth of 50M). However, the use of any Lung product beyond a depth of 3m is prohibited.
Before using any Lung products it is essential that you have read and understand all of the Safety Guidelines and User Manual.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes! We have a 12 month warranty on our products. You can find more information in the User Manual & Safety Guidelines.

How do I know how much air is in the Lung?
The Lung T-500 has an integrated pressure gauge which allows you to easily check the air pressure.
What kind of air is in the cylinder?
The cylinder contains compressed air, which is the same air as the ambient air that everyone breathes. It is also the same air that is contained in conventional diving cylinders.
How long does it take to refill?
With the Lung Hand Pump:
- Around 15-20 minutes of pumping.
You must refill the cylinder in 5 minute sessions and let the pump cool down for at least 2 minutes between intervals.
With the Lung Turbocharger:
- Around 10 minutes
Can I use my own pump / compressor?
Our Lung tanks are only compatible with Lung refilling methods. Our Lung Hand Pump and Lung Turbocharger have built in air and oil filters to ensure the air is clean
and safe.
Can I fly with the Lung?
Yes. When transporting the Lung via air, you MUST remove all air from the cylinder and unscrew the regulator. You will also need to declare that the cylinder is empty and open. Visual and Hydrostatic tests should be completed before use. After using any Lung products, allow a 24-hour window before flying.
